VP Racing Fuels

VP C14 is a spec fuel for NMRA and MMCA. Moreover, it's been a dominant fuel in NHRA Championship racing for decades. We recommend our C14 fuel for high RPM engines with ultra-high compression ratios over 14:1. 

Built for use in large, 500 cid or greater, normally aspirated engines with ultra-high CRs of 14:1 or greater. Can also be used in smaller nitrous systems.

 C16 fuel has an established performance standard that still exists today. We formulate it for drag racing applications. Use it in turbocharged engines, supercharged engines, and nitrous applications with CRs up to 17:1. C16 is one of VP’s most popular blends. 

VP M1 Racing Methanol Fuel has a 99.95% minimum purity. It's the highest purity you'll find in the United States. M1 helps your engine run cooler compared to standard methanol blends. Your engine will also be subject to less corrosion compared to standard methanol blends. We package M1 in lined drums. The drums prohibit rust, corrosion and metal deposits that can contaminate your fuel delivery system. We recommend M1 for all your methanol-legal racing applications. 

We formulate VP M5 fuel to be the best performing methanol on the market. M5 makes more power than standard methanol because of its upgraded combustion additives. It offers the same or better protection against detonation. VP M5 has improved vaporization. It offers a wider acceptable range of air/fuel ratios and tuning, as well as faster combustion speeds. M5 fuel is designed for both drag racing and circle track racing. It is not pure methanol and won’t pass a water test. 

Q15 provides good power and consistency for bracket racing. The fuel is high-octane and oxygenated. Furthermore, it's proven to be more consistent with weather changes. Iconic NHRA racer and crew chief, Dave Connoly, switched to Q15 and immediately saw the difference.

Primarily for intercooled, forced induction drag race applications. Many regard it as the top oxygenated, leaded fuel produced by VP. It is required to increase fuel flow by 4-6% because it's highly oxygenated. However, this make 3-5% more power than competitive 116 octane fuels. The added fuel flow increases the octane of Q16 by 6-8 numbers above its standard ASTM octane rating. As a result, it yields greater detonation protection. We recommend it in any naturally aspirated race application.
