Frequently Asked Questions:

How are events structured?

  • This is a team based drag racing event.
  • Each team requires three racers, one in each class.
  • Teams will run each other based on a chip draw.
  • Racers will earn points for their teams during each round of competition.


What are the classes that make up each team?

  • Outlaw - Heads-up, no breakout, power adders permitted
  • N/A - Heads-up, no breakout, naturally aspirated
  • Hot Rod - Bracket class, equivalent to Box or Super Pro


How is the team champion determined?

  • The winner of each round of competition will be awarded 10 points for their team.
  • The loser of each round will be awarded 5 points for their team.
  • After each team completes three rounds of competition, the team that accumulates the most points will be crowned event champion.
  • In the event of a tie after three rounds, the tie break will be determined by the Hot Rod competitors on those teams. 
  • The Hot Rod competitor with the best previous single pass, total package in that event's competition will enable his team to be the event winner.

How are the individual class champions determined?

  • The two racers that accumulated the most points for their teams in each class will advance to winner take all final round.
  • If there is a tie between two or more racers in Outlaw or N/A, then the tie break will be the best event reaction time in the previous rounds of competition.
  • If there is a tie between two or more racers in Hot Rod, then the tie break will be determined by the best total package in the previous  rounds of competition.
